The Team

We are Bevan and Dianne, and we run Thrive - an off-grid, sustainable homestead and learning centre in Hogsback, South Africa. Dianne has been working with the soil and plants for over 20 years and was doing permaculture, regenerative, biodynamic etc. work before these things became more well known. Bevan comes from the mining, commodity trading and corporate finance world, having also developed township entrepreneurs for Thebe Investment Corp., founded originally by Nelson Mandela. Together we offer deep insights and practical skills to all our entrepreneurs, with a hands-on work ethic to ensure each food grower can become sustainable and sovereign, continuing to offer affordable food for generations to come.
